Today we made a day trip to Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. It is located at approximately 7200 feet. A mountain volcano collapsed right down into the earth. It filled up with water from rain and snow. There is no outlet or springs. It is one of the deepest lakes at almost 2000 ft. There was plenty of snow still in the area. The east road is still closed due to snow.
