We went to the Evergreen Air Museum in McMinville, Or to see the Spruce Goose. A huge float plane that was built by our government and Howard Hughes. Lifted off the water for a short time and never flew again. Also shown is the inside of the plane. A picture of a Luner Space Modular. And of course a Picture of a 1930 Mail Truck. We are enjoying the coast of Oregon. Weather in the high 70s and sunny almost every day.

We walked the beach of Seaside and saw this skeleton of a whale. The whale had washed up on the beach a few years back. It started to smell so the town folks buried it. Years later they got permission to dig it up, dry it out and glue it back together to display.

We went to Astoria to the Maritine Museum. It has a lot of Coast Guard and U. S. Navy displays in there. Outside the had to old lightship Columbia. No longer used as a lightship, we got to board it and look around.

The "Columbia Queen" was visiting Astoria. Pretty neat looking boat. It was headed to Portland to the end of its tour. It goes from Portland to Lewiston, Idaho and back.
